Class Policies:

Class sizes are limited so, register early!  You must prepay a class. 

Classes will be cancelled if there is not adequate seats filled 5 business days before the date of the class.  If we cancel a class, you will be refunded the cost of the class. If you have to cancel, call us at least 5 business days before the class and you will receive a store credit for the amount of the class. We do not refund if you cancel a class with less than 5 business days notice.

Loaner sewing machines are available for beginners or snowbirds who do not have their machines with them.

If you need to pick out fabric and supplies for your class, we'll be glad to help you but, please come in on a day before the class so that we can give you our undivided attention.

Simply the Basics Machine Quilting - all day session class
Sat., April 19 - 9:30 am - 3:30pm
Cost: $25 (includes fabric, batting and backing for practice pieces)

This class in NOT for experienced quilters. But, if you want to learn basic machine quilting, then please sign up! You will learn: In the Ditch, Free Motion, Using marking tools and following the lines, how to start and stop a line of quilting, sources for quilting pattern ideas, threads, needles, etc. This is truly a BASIC class. Full day class so bring lunch.

UFO Day

Keep ahead of those UFO projects! Join us for fun, laughter and friendship. Limited seating in our cushy chairs, so call ahead and let us know you are coming. Bring a sack lunch or snack if you wish.

Strips 'n Curves - 3 full day sessions

Looking to move out of your comfort zone and make a quilt that really zings? Here's your chance when you learn to pair easy strip piecing with classic curved shapes. Does the thought of curved piecing make you want to run and hide? Worry not, they are surprisingly easy to do and the resulting quilts are stunning! Betsy will guide you along with color, contrast, layout and construction. Sewing machine in good working order needed. Bring a sack lunch or snack.

Quilt Math 101 or - "How to become your quilt store's favorite customer without breaking your budget"

Learn the basic math techniques used to figure out the fabric required for your blocks, sashing, cornerstones, borders, batting, backing , binding, etc. If you don't have a pattern in hand telling you how much to buy or you want to make you pattern larger, learn the easy ways to figure it out! You don't have to buy an extra half-yard (or more) to make sure you have enough. So, save yourself some money and time by learning the basics.
